Rose Quartz is actually a pink variety of Quartz. It gets its color from microscopic inclusions of a pink variety of a mineral called dumortierite.

Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral that is mainly composed of silica. Quartz is the second most abundant mineral on Earth’s continental crust. (Feldspar being the first.)

Location
Rose Quartz is found all around the world. Larger deposits are found in Brazil, India, South Africa and Madagascar.
